A place to make friends, spend time in nature, and care for Mother Earth — together.
Bellflower & Bloom CIC is a gentle, growing community for people who love nature, crave meaningful connection, and want to care for the Earth in small, thoughtful ways.
It began from a simple place: a longing for friendship, a deep love of the natural world, and a belief that slowing down with nature really matters.
Making Friends and Finding Connections
At its heart, Bellflower & Bloom CIC is about people.
It’s a place to make friends, share conversations, and feel less alone — whether that’s through the forum, relaxed catch-ups, seasonal gatherings, or simple moments of connection.
Our meetings are gentle and informal — more of a catch-up than an agenda — a chance to chat, share what we’re noticing in nature, and enjoy each other’s company.
Spending Time in Nature
We believe time in nature helps us slow down, notice more, and feel more like ourselves.
Together, we spend time outdoors in gentle ways — walking, observing plants, following the seasons, and reconnecting with the natural world at a pace that feels kind and realistic.
Our activities follow the rhythm of the seasons, inspired by the pagan wheel of the year, allowing us to move with nature rather than rush past it.
Caring for Mother Earth
“When we fall in love with the Earth, we want to take care of her.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
Friendship and time in nature naturally lead to care. Spending time outside and noticing her beauty makes us want to nurture and protect her.
Each season, we shine a gentle spotlight on something in need of a little extra love — maybe a plant in decline, a habitat that could use some attention, or a creature quietly struggling. We explore ways to help it bloom, whether through observation, celebrating it with our community, sharing tips, or taking small, thoughtful actions together.
It’s all about noticing, learning, and doing what we can — in ways that feel joyful, easy, and connected to the rhythms of the seasons.

Spending time in Nature Challenges
Each month, the Bellflowers have enjoyed taking part in spending time in nature challenges — small, meaningful ways to reconnect with the Earth and notice the world around us. In the first months since the community began, we’ve explored:
Bloom for Bees - April 2025 -Planting pollinator friendly seeds
Swap & Bloom – May 2025 - Swopping seeds with initiatives like Seed Pen Pals
Dewdrop Challenge - June 2025 - Leaving out small bowls of waters for bees, butterflies and other garden friends
Bellflower & Butterflies in Bloom - July 2025 - Spotting, supporting and soaking up the magic of butterflies
Moth & Moonlight Challenge - August 2025 - Gently supporting our night creatures
Beach & Beyond Challenge - September 2025 - Picking up rubbish or admiring natures gifts at the beach or beyond
Bulbs for Bees - October 2025 - Plant bulbs this autumn for spring, giving our early-arriving bees much needed nectar
Mindfulness Winter Moments - November, December 2025 & January 2026 - Slow down, connect with nature & mindful this winter.
We meet online to share our time in nature, celebrate little discoveries, and inspire each other. You can post photos, notes, or reflections in the Bellflower Forum, or tag us on social media to show what you’ve been enjoying. It’s all about connection and sharing the joy of nature, rather than checking off tasks — everyone joins in at their own pace.
As we grow, we’re moving towards seasonal spending time in nature challenges that follow the rhythms of the year. For example, spring (February, March, April) will focus on celebrating new growth and discovering small ways to help the world around us bloom.
